(Manti) A group of volunteers are giving the Sanpete County Fairgrounds a face lift. Kaye Crane approached the county commission about using volunteers to paint and spruce up the arena and was given approval. Kay Jensen, the chairman of the Repair The Fair Committee is spearheading the project. Boys and girls from the Utah Preparatory, the Child Abuse Team, and inmates from the Sanpete County Jail have been painting the arena fences and chutes and the ticket booths. The grandstand will be ready to paint in the next few weeks. Work will continue for the next two months, and more volunteers are being sought to complete the projects in time for the fair to open in August.
