(VENICE) – A chicken coop in Venice caught on fire Monday morning due to some burning ditch banks. According to a sheriff’s report, Justin Jensen of Richfield had been burning ditch banks just south of the Venice Feedlot, when the fire spread to a chicken coop at around 9:30am. Jensen was able to put out the fire before the fire department arrived but crews continued to make sure the fire was out. Little damage was done to the chicken coop.
