Motorcyclist and deer collide near Koosharem

(KOOSHAREM) – A Sandy motorcyclist sustained injuries after hitting a deer near Koosharem Saturday afternoon. A UHP report stated that 62-year old, Nathaniel Mitchell was traveling southbound on his 2003 BMW motorcycle on SR-62, when he collided with the deer about a mile south of Koosharem. Mitchell was thrown off the motorcycle on the right side of the highway and his motorcycle came to rest in the roadway. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and was transported to the Sevier Valley Hospital with some injuries.
