(TORREY) – The Utah Highway Patrol investigated a motorcycle accident this morning east of Torrey on SR-24. A UHP report said that at 9:45am, 34-year old, Russell Koehler of Midway was riding eastbound on a 2008 Big Dog motorcycle, when he failed to negotiate a curve while attempting to slow down. The report said that Koehler left the lane of travel and crossed onto the right shoulder into an embankment, coming to rest on the shoulder. He was transported to the hospital with lacerations and possible broken bones. Koehler was cited for a lane travel violation and no driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement.
