ARLINGTON, Texas-Josh Hamilton and Milton Bradley hit successive first inning homers and the Texas Rangers exploded for 16 hits in a 12-7 pasting of the Cleveland Indians Tuesday at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Additionally, Ian Kinsler extended his hitting streak to a career-best 17 games, while David Murphy almost hit for the cycle for Texas as he only finished a triple short. Overall, the potent Rangers hit four home runs in the game which netted them an American League-best 73 dingers on the season, while Texas also improved to.500 for the first time in all season as the win put them at 30-30. Ryan Garko had three hits for the Indians in the loss. In other MLB action Tuesday, Atlanta edged Florida, 5-4, Boston gashed Tampa Bay, 7-4, Toronto smoked the New York Yankees, 9-3, Philadelphia outlasted Cincinnati, 3-2, Houston blanked Pittsburgh, 2-0, St. Louis stymied Washington, 6-1, Milwaukee ripped Arizona, 7-1, Baltimore bested Minnesota, 5-3, the Chicago White Sox overpowered Kansas City, 9-5, Colorado humbled the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-0, the Los Angeles Angels snuck past Seattle, 5-4, the New York Mets outgunned San Francisco, 9-6, and the Chicago Cubs blasted San Diego, 9-6.
